Spilt Milk Returns with Ryan Crosson, Boris Werner and More

Spilt Milk rose from the ashes of cult techno promotion, Don’t Techno Sh!t. Its founder, London based producer/promoter-extraordinaire, Tred Benedict, launched the brand with the aim to provide daytime outdoor parties in the capital without the pretentious and inverted snobbery prevalent at many fellow promotions. The result was a launch party at the fabled Paper Mill venue in the heart of the city with UK house & techno veterans, Layo & Bushwacka!, opening on a glorious Saturday afternoon in 2010.

Since those early days the brand, which has now spawned a record label co-owned by St.Bernard, can boast of playing host to some of the biggest names in Europe and beyond with the likes of Mr.C, Dinky, Tom Clark, Daniel Drier, Jens Bond, Margret Dygas, Tiefschwarz, Stacy Pullen and Radio Slave (to name but a few) all performing at Spilt Milk parties in the past.

After first beginning at the aforementioned Paper Mill (RIP!), Tred went on to host Spilt Milk in a number of ambitious “open space” venues in and around East London. A trend which helped establish Spilt Milk as an original party concept with its ever expanding fanbase. After a hugely successful season at the “Dairy” – a space in which Tred and his team found in the industrial back streets of Hackney Wick, along with Old Street’s Magic Roundabout, Spilt Milk has found a new home. At least for the upcoming months that is.

On Saturday the 4th March, Spilt Milk will present the first in a series of new “At Night” label showcases at Bloc, situated at Unit 3, Autumn Yard, Hackney Wick, which is owned by the Bloc Weekender team. For the debut you’ll be able to catch Mihai Popoviciu & Javi Bora opening proceedings along with Spilt Milk honchos, Tred Benedict and St. Bernard.

The follow-up will take place on Saturday 1st April with a scheduled four hour set to be performed by an as yet unannounced trio of special guests.

On Saturday the 6th May, Spilt Milk will return to Bloc with arguably its headline act of the four upcoming showcases, Vision Quest founder and M_nus alumni, Ryan Crosson. Alongside him will be Spilt Milk resident, and undisputed king of the terrace, Marc Ashken.

The final event in the Spilt Milk “at night” series for 2017, will feature Dutch house maestro and former resident of Amsterdam’s legendary TROUW club, Boris Werner, and Spilt Milk resident, East London’s very own Lee Rands.

Tickets for the all four events are available via Resident Advisor.
