Seth Troxler to Release New EP & Compilation
Seth Troxler will release a new 12” EP next month titled ‘Finally Physical’ via his Play It Say It label.
The four-track EP features a collection of tracks dating back to 2006, 2008 & 2010 three of which were previously available on mix CDs and via digital release.
The oldest of the four tracks is ‘Backclap’ which was first unleashed in 2006 on a fabriclive mix by Audion. Tracks from 2008 in the form of Troxler’s remix of Stefan Tretau’s ‘Chittagong’ and Aggression’, previously a digital-only release also feature. As does a 2010 remix, which was originally released under Troxler’s Thrill Cosby alias, of ‘Signs’ by Heartthrob.
‘Finally Physical’ will be released on April 27th via Play It Say It.
In related news, Seth Troxler has plans to releases a compilation album to mark a decade of living in Europe since moving from Detroit. Titled, ‘This Is Then’ the comp will serve as a 10-year retrospective. It will largely be made up of Troxler’s own music but will also feature guest appearances and remixes from his peers and industry friends.
On the compilation, Troxler previously said (via RA):
“This is a review of my work to date thus far,” he said. “It’s really a compilation of highlights and a mark of ten years in Europe. I’m proud of everything that has happened so far but I’m now moving into a new chapter, and looking to change things up.”
‘This Is Then’ is still yet to receive a release date but will land sometime this spring.
