REVIEW: Hostey ‘Bootycall’

REVIEW: Hostey ‘Bootycall’

Iranian-born multi-instrumentalist Hossein Teymoor – otherwise known as Hostey – is about to cause a stir with his latest release. And we’re not just referring to the cutting, polished production values of this sonorous prog-house effort.

Bootycall is a fast, up-tempo beat with a crystalline soundscape that draws on various EDM centric influences to create its fun, bold and brazen melody. However, whilst the tongue-in-cheek nature of the track’s narrative revolves around the booty calling nature of today’s free-loving society, Hostey’s frank, rather obvious artwork is where he may attract some criticism.
