REVIEW: M. Fukuda ‘Palawan’ EP

M. Fukuda is one of a number of exciting techno producers hailing from Japan. Alongside fellow Japanese peers like Q´Hey and A.Mochi, Fukuda’s global influence had been steadily building helping him to “define a new school techno vibe in the land of the rising sun”.

As a veteran of LA imprint Octopus Recordings, Fukuda’s new EP bundles bold bass waves (‘Palawan’), extraterrestrial sci-fi FX (‘Golden Rectangle’) hedonistic, washed-out synth lines (‘Prime Number’) and shuffling, bass-heavy soundscapes (‘Zipper’) which have been locked together into total groove hypnosis.
