Electronic Music Awards Postponed Until September 2016
The much anticipated (and first ever) Electronic Music Awards which was due to take place on April 14th and also be televised on FOX a week from today have been postponed.
“As this is the first year of the awards, we have the luxury of flexibility, which we are taking advantage of to decide the optimal timetable to present the awards. With this opportunity, we felt that it would better to represent the electronic music calendar in the fall rather than the spring.”
The inaugural edition of EDM award ceremony had already announced the nominations for some of the categories which include electronic dance heavy-weights Jamie xx, Major Lazer and Skrillex
The event will now take place in September with its curators Russell Thomas (former MTV EMA awards director), and co-founders Paul Oakenfold and TV4 Entertainment still firmly behind the concept believing there is still massive potential for an awards dedicated to the electronic dance industry.
