Coachella Organisers to Bring a New Festival Experience to the State of Colorado

The American festival industry has experienced some what of a boom in recent years. But with a population of over 300 million and with such such sprawling, stunning and diverse landscapes, the USA is in a prime position to host as many music festivals as it sees fit.

Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG)‘s subsidiary Goldenvoice, who are the brains behind Coachella, are joining forces with Bonnaroo and Outside Lands organiser, Superfly, to present a brand new festival to be held in the state of Colorado. A state with a diverse mix of scenery made up of desert, river canyons and snow-covered mountains,

At present, it’s official destination is still yet be finalised, although reports suggest Denver’s Overland Park Golf Course is one location being looked at. The newly announced festival is tentatively scheduled to take place during one weekend in 2018, with a capacity estimated to hold between 30,000 to 60,000 fans.

A Denver publication, Westworld, said the festival organises “see potential — not just in run-of-the-mill stadium concerts, but in creating a festival experience with multiple stages and a bevy of musical acts, akin to Coachella, if slightly smaller, at least in the beginning.”
